She has worked in the world of marketing, development, conservation, and nonprofit management for more than 25 years. She has written extensively about conservation and outdoor travel topics for Sierra magazine, Southern Living magazine, The Tennessean, Nashville Banner, Tennessee Conservationist magazine and Nooga.com.

Jenni Veal is a tourism marketing and development professional with proven leadership, communication and project management skills that allow her to successfully partner with rural communities to implement tourism, outdoor recreation, and heritage projects that benefit local economies and quality of life.
Jenni founded Rural BaseCamp in 2021 to focus on developing and marketing tourism and heritage assets and natural resources in rural America. She has eight years of experience in tourism marketing and development projects, with an extensive list of project successes, including blueway development, road cycling initiatives, visitor guide and map development, community branding, wayfinding signage system development, interpretive signage development, grant writing, website and content development, and digital marketing campaigns.
